Tonight’s My Kitchen Rules instant restaurant is at David and Betty’s place. The best friends from Punchbowl in Sydney’s south west are planning a killer menu, what are their instant restaurant scores? Betty has a Laos heritage, while David’s family is from Vietnam.
Their menu tonight is:
For entree, Crispy Pork Belly Steamed Bun and Pickled Cucumber. Main course will be Barramundi in Sweet & Sour Broth with Crispy Rice and Asian Greens. Finally, for dessert they are making Green Tea Donut with Chocolate Glaze and Matcha Affogato
Their restaurant will have a south east asian feel and is called Anchor and Palms.
The entree comes out. It looks really good.
Pete says the entree is delicious. The hotness of the sriracha and the crispiness of the pickles worked well. Manu says it is a good dish, but the bun was on the chewy side. It would have been nice to have seen some technique in making the chilli sauce themselves.
The other contestants like the dish. Tim & Kyle say it is amazing, Bek & Ash loved it, the pork was cooked to perfection.
