My Kitchen Rules Elimination – Kat and Andre vs Eva and Debra


Who was eliminated from My Kitchen Rules Tonight? It is Kat and Andre cooking off against Eva and Debra in an elimination show down at kitchen headquarters.

Entree

During entree, Kat and Andre struggled with the preparation of all their dishes. For entree, they made a Gnocchi with Pumpkin and Sage Burnt Butter recipe. The dish was very good looking and the flavours were good, but the Gnocchi was dense and “bouncy”, not light and fluffy. It could have been a fantastic dish if it were not for the main ingredient

Eva and Debra made a Hot and Sour Prawn Soup recipe. The dish “smells amazing” and definitely had some kick. Colin said it was a “punch in the face” with flavour. Pete asked “who wouldn’t like a dish like this?”, he said they nailed it.

Main Course

For main course, Kat and Andre made a Pork and Mushroom Ragù with Polenta recipe. The dish had good flavours, and was a home cooked tasty dish. Kat and Andre forgot the mushrooms and the judges commented that it was missing something and that it was not a complete dish.

Eva and Debra made a Singapore Chilli Crab recipe. The crab is cooked well, but there is too much shrimp paste in the sauce. Colin doesn’t like it. The steamed buns are doughy inside. It’s inedible according to Guy Grossi because of the shrimp paste smell.

Dessert

For dessert Eva and Debra made Five-Spice Panna Cotta with Poached Pear. The dish was very “pretty” and the flavours were delicate. Colin said it was exactly as it should be. Guy said it was the closest to perfection he had ever seen. Pete said it was hard to fault.

Kat and Andre White Chocolate Crème Brûlée with Baked Figs. The brulee had a nice cracking sound when the judges broke into them. The brulee however was not set. It was liquid.
